It was a beautiful day but freakin cold! I took a quick road ride before riding with Sherri. At 30 degrees the wind was pretty intense going downhill at nearly 40 mph. Today I wore my Columbia shell, wool jersey, balaclava, and shoe covers. Kept me plenty warm. In fact, once Sherri and I began riding the temperature rose. By the end it was nearly 40 degrees and I felt like I was dressed too warm.
Parts of the rail-trail were wet and muddy today. Must have rained last night. We both got mud all over the backs of our clothes.
It was pretty cold Sunday. I was out on the Gussy and worked up a sweat moving that log around and when I took off, even riding slow the cold air just cut right through you.
